We’re a Society because of you!

Our staff works day in and day out to make sure the animals of Muhlenberg County are treated with respect and love, but we can only do so much alone. We depend on our volunteers to help us keep the facility running and the animals happy. They’re a vital part of the M.C.H.S. team, and we wouldn’t be able to make a difference without them. If you’d like to volunteer your time to the shelter, please contact us directly to fill out the application. And thank you, from us and every animal in our care. We couldn’t do it without you.

Please note:

• Volunteers MUST be 18 or older unless supervised by an adult at all times.

• We have a very small facility and are always utilizing rooms for our animals well being so we can only accept a small amount of volunteers for inside.

• Our dogs are always up for a walk. Whoever is holding the leash must be 18 years or older.

• We offer doggie day out program - please contact us for more details.

• If you are needing your child to complete hours for a school function, please make sure you contact us directly for a time/date.
